Fine Art Photography Lecture by Joyce Wilson

Internationally acclaimed fine art photographer Joyce Wilson will be conducting a lecture and
showing slides of her incredible work.  Wilson's passion is "Photographing the Feminine Spirit"
and the lecture is free and open to all students and faculty, as well as guests from the community. 
Joyce Wilson's remarkable career as a photographer and artist spans half a century, and
although laurels keep landing in Joyce's corner, it is her work that speaks volumes. 
Early in her career, she began experimenting with an old 35mm camera and high-speed film,
photographing nudes and women with their babies.  It was during these sessions that she
discovered her passion; capturing the essence of the feminine spirit on film.

Audobon Magazine Birds in Focus Photo Competition

Artlink Exhibit: Toys and Book Illustration
Deadline for notification of intent to exhibit: September 10

The exhibition will be up in the Main Gallery at Artlink, 437 E. Berry Street,
Fort Wayne, through December 1, 2010. All art work must be hand delivered to Artlink.

Each artist may submit one piece in any medium for this non-juried exhibition.
Eligible artwork for this exhibit may be in any media. Artwork must depict a toy(s),
or be a handmade toy or be an original book illustration.  All wall work must
be framed and wired for hanging. All artwork must be hand-delivered to Artlink between
October 10 and October 20 during regular gallery hours. There is no entry fee
for Artlink members. There is a $5 entry fee for non-members.

This special autumn tour is based out of the town of Silver City in Michigan's northwest Upper Peninsula
and puts us within easy reach of thousands of acres of state and federal public land. The colorful
beech/maple forests of Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park, Ottawa National Forest, and the
Lake Superior shoreline will be a major focus of the tour.
